In addition to my blog about the new 2021 TOYOTA Mirai (link,) these below are the photos. Hoping that they might with interest and curiosity, in a similar way I discovered this new car, and as I continue learning about future technologies. I like cars and I like driving. While the previous model (lower) to me seems more spaceship-like, the new model (upper) seems to me like ‘the spaceship has landed on our planet’.
The mirrors and displays show the video camera images when maneuvering, left: rear view, right: front view . Amazing and, for my taste, very futuristic.
Energy management of Acceleration: (1) first the battery, (2) then the fuel cell and (3) for the boost both step in, the fuel cell and the battery.
Energy management of Recuperation: (4) the fuel cell has produced power for the electric motor, but not all of the power is needed, therefore the fuel cell distributes the remaining unused power to the battery, (5) meanwhile I am easing the gas pedal, so the electric motor returns some of the power that was not used to the battery and (6) the fuel cell is idle while the vehicle has not yet fully halted.
